First spray around outside of your home and seal off any holes.  Are they tiny ants, 2 section ants or giant 3 section ants.  They can't digest cornmeal.  Look around at your trees and see if they are any holes that they are living in.  I had 2 big Poplar trees taken down last year and they were all over them, and I found no holes anywhere on that tree.  At Walmart, Lowe's or Home Depot, they have something that you can spray your grass with but you have to keep the children & pets off it.  I have Bell & Howell plug in's for inside that keeps ants away....Walmart $18.00 4 in a package.

I just did another search about lime............this is for only outside use a spreader to spread it.  It won't kill them but they will go somewhere else.  Keep children & pets off it until it rains or snow.
They can't digest cornmeal, put some away from your home in a can squished half way so they can make a visit and take some home............they love it just can digest it..................

And also I found out that they don't like soapy water............after the sun passes over and the ground cools off, mix 2 tablespoons dawn & 1 qt water and spray.............you might have to double this as a friend told me he has no bugs and that is what he uses..........
